Menswear Highlight #3 - Dries Van Noten

Bringing camouflage to the catwalk, Dries Van Noten's latest collection demonstrated how to fuse comfort and style without compromise. Bold colour-blocking and loose fits were blended with artistic prints to create a look that was distinctive and effective - sticking to a basic utility colour palette of navy and orange brought continuity to the collection, making it one of the most interesting of the week.

Later in the collection saw the showcase of some extremely impressive knitwear. Crochet-knitted and semi-sheer, the oversized knits came in a variety of prints and colours and were light enough to wear alone in summer or layer up with a high-collared shirt for the darker months. Whilst the collection did feature a few more tailored pieces, overall the emphasis was on stylish separates and maximum comfort. Even the loathed tracksuit bottom was updated; navy blue and in quilted material, Van Noten managed to dispel the myth that tracksuit bottoms must only be worn indoors. Eclectic, artistic and comfortable, Van Noten was one of the true highlights of the week.
